The earth has awoken, and life is full of possibilities.
Beltane is more than a date on the calendar; it’s magnetic energy and abundance.
This collection was created to honor the ignition of fire.
The Beltane Oracle Collection
This collection of mini prints is designed to guide you through the wisdom of Beltane and the revival of spring. Each piece reflects a core theme of the season — resurgence, commitment, fertility, rebirth, community, and celebration. Together, they help you reflect on and honor the cycle of growth and vitality. Use these cards in seasonal rituals, meditations, and altar displays to ground yourself in the energy of spring. Each card is an invitation to deepen your connection with the rhythms of nature and your own inner seasons.
As part of a larger whole, this collection is a component of my Wheel of the Year Oracle Project. As the seasons turn, I create two collections a year that align with the pagan sabbats. I intend to turn this large collection into a useful tool for divination.
Hawthorn
Known as the “May Tree”, the hawthorn’s blooming has traditionally marked the beginning of Beltane and summer. The sprigs were gathered to decorate homes and weave flower crowns. These flowers mark a time for renewal in agriculture, energy, and community.
It reminds us that growth is already happening, even when we cannot yet see its shape.
Affirmation: I welcome renewal and trust in its unfolding.
Maypole
The maypole stands as a focal point for the celebration of summer’s return. Though its “true” symbolism is unknown, the maypole carries themes of community, good luck, and fertility. However, fertility is not just a matter of the human body. Land, crops, and platonic relationships can bear fruit. As we dance the maypole, we wish each other a fruitful life. I urge you not to think of the maypole as a phallic symbol, but as a decorated pillar, woven with the love of your community.
It reminds us that abundance is relational, not solitary.
Affirmation: I celebrate the connections and joy around me.
Handfasting
An ancient tradition that binds two souls as one. The ribbons and cords symbolize the different lives each has led. These fabrics are then intertwined around the hands of both individuals as words of love and commitment are spoken, thus further sealing their promises. Finally, the knot is tied, symbolizing the beginning of their new life. Hence, the phrase “Tie the knot.”
To choose a connection, presence, and union with awareness.
Affirmation: I honor my commitments.
Bee
Bees are vital to agricultural prosperity. They work as a team to pollinate the crops and flowers we depend on for survival. This act of pollination is, at its core, fertility. The pollen is transferred so that seeds and fruit may grow. They are necessary for our day-to-day lives. So next time you cross paths with one, don’t swat it away, say thank you and leave it to its work

It reminds us that our smallest actions still contribute to the whole.

Green Man
An ancient symbol of rebirth, the Green Man reminds us of nature’s constant and powerful cycle. Every year, the Green Man dies in the winter and is reborn at Beltane. He represents how we can burn away old beliefs and habits, allowing a fresh start. Here, rebirth does not refer to the world coming back to life, but how you live in it.
He teaches us that transformation is not an ending—it is participation in something larger than ourselves.
Affirmation: I welcome my rebirth with courage.
May Queen
As the feminine embodiment of Spring, the May Queen unites these sacred symbols. With Hawthorne in her hair, she transforms the Green Man, symbolizing the death and rebirth of nature’s cycle. She blesses the handfasting union, presides over the Maypole dance, and protects the bees, honoring the importance of love, community, and commitment. She stands at the heart of these traditions, weaving them into a tapestry of renewal, fertility, and communal celebration.
She does not rush the season; she becomes it.
Affirmation: I lead the celebration of my own becoming.
