What I Mean When I Say Wildcraft
The term “Wildcraft” refers to gathering plants, flowers, and fungi from the wild. It means going into nature and searching for what you need. We live in a world where almost anything we need, whether it be ideas, research, or physical items, is available with the press of a button. While there are many benefits to this, it eliminates the time and effort required to explore new ideas.
I do not separate myself from this world; this is the reality we all live in. However, I think it is essential to take a step back and appreciate the time it takes to learn and create. Experimentation has always been a part of my craft. I enjoy hunting for new ideas, new media, and new styles. Regardless of whether I use them or not.
My craft, like most, takes time, energy, and mistakes. With Wildcraft, I aim to honor those parts of the process. I aim to set aside the notion that I need to crank out products and content to stay relevant. I will follow my intuition not only for the items I create, but also my own inner schedule— ensuring that I do not overwork myself for the sole purpose of being seen. Those who need to see me will, in their own time.
Wildcraft Collections is about intuition, creative play, and the hunt. These three things make up the core of my practice, and I will honor them as such.
Blessed be.
